In a stirring conclusion to the summer jumps season at the New Kent, Va., course, Runnymoore Racing’s Timetoshine (Dan Nevin) got revenge over Irv Naylor’s Gold Charm (Jamie Bargary) to take the third and final leg of the new Triple Tiara series, the G2 $100,000 Marion DuPont Scott filly & mare stakes by a neck. In the first leg, Gold Charm bested Timetoshine by 2 3/4 lengths. In today’s contest, Northwoods Stable’s Camanoe (Freddie Procter), winner of the second leg, the Life’s Illusion, was third.

Mark Beecher trained the winner, who paid $8.80

In the second, a $40,000 handicap for horses rated at 115 or less, St. Rita Racing’s 9-1 Pleasant Fantasy (Bernie Dalton) made his move to take the lead at the 2-mile mark, nursed a six-length advantage into the stretch, and prevailed by 3 1/2 lengths at the wire over Hard Game’s L’Avvocato (Freddie Procter). Riverdee Stable and Genet Racing’s Renfro’s Reception (Virginia Korrell) was third. Kate Dalton trained the winner.

The third time proved to be the charm for Steadfast Resolve who gave Runnymoore Racing its first of two wins on the card, this time for the hot trainer-rider combination of Neil Morris and Graham Watters, the duo that combined for victory with Mr. Percy in yesterday’s Grade 1 Jonathan Sheppard stakes at Saratoga.

Sent off at $1.20-1, the five-year-old Kentucky-bred son of Not This Time rallied from fifth with a four-wide move in the stretch and shook clear in the final sixteenth, scoring by 1 1/2 lengths. Team Valor International’s McLovin (Bernie Dalton) closed for second, to edge Commonwealth Racing’s 29-1 Deflected (Freddie Procter).

The win was the first in three NSA career starts for Steadfast Resolve, all at Colonial this summer.
